Correction....I own two of those companies ESV and RDC plus NE, RIG, BP and CHK.

I own stocks in those companies plus call options on each of them going out to Oct and Nov of 2014.

The options are a dollar or two in the money when I start a new position. These options cost more to start a position, but if a position goes no where I get some of the money back for a new position.

I analyze my trades frequently and 28 of the last 30 option positions were winners. I lost last year on MU when the stock went nowhere for about 5 months. I also lost a minor amount on INTC options. To me its mostly a math game. The hardest part is starting a new position on a terrible down day (when I start most new positions). You never know if a big down day is the start of big downward trend.
