GNSS Volatility ??Reduction??

In viewing the chart of GNSS, it seems to me that the last 30 to 45 days have seen a reduction in volatility. The move up to near $21 was much smoother than what we saw earlier this year, and the slide back to $18 or so was also more controlled.

Now, I DOUBT that we AIMers are trading enough GNSS to dampen volatility, volume has been rather light recently (below average volume for all of 1999 and 1Q00). With earnings to be released in late July (7/26), and many chip makers expected to beat Wall St estimates, we MAY see a pickup in both volume and volatility.

Anyone else care to chime in on this? Am I seeing things that are not there?
