Another pipeline that's starting to get some attention.

This one is owned by Enbridge (a Canadien Company), and lies on the bottom of the Mackinaw Staights.

This pipeline is 60 years old, and the company has been unwilling to share any safelty information with the Detroit News. (until the state stepped in) This company is also responsible for a major oil spill into the Kalamazoo river (840,000 gallons) and have been very slow to pay up for the damages.

Nice view of the Mackinaw straights ....about 6 miles wide at the bridge crossing

And then there are some who say......"we need less government regulation" .

I think that the people in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin would be upset if their drinking water got contaminated.
