That to me, really shows an academic arrogance. I suspect it was the result of too much belief in their infalability and not enough fear of the markets infinite number of new unseen price actions.

This is why I think intuition is a never to be replaced integral part of trading.Models can certainly supplement our decision making process.
We all need to look out when we think we have stumbled onto the "holy grail". In my life that has always been one step before the BIG KAHUNA.
