I am starting this thread to see if there is an interest in discussing, sharing ideas, problem-solving and assisting each other in trading futures. The purpose of this thread is not so much to discuss specific markets and trades as much as to focus on systems, strategies and available resources for trading futures.

I have been trading futures for the best part of ten years and have run the gamut of attending seminars, buying books, purchasing systems, subscribing to hot-lines -- you name it! Several years ago I bought System-Writer, which later became System-Writer II and then about two years ago I bought TradeStation and recently upgraded to TradeStation 4.0. After acquiring System-Writer, I began to write my own systems and have never looked back.

I use systems that I personally developed to trade futures, and have been quite successful in my trading but I am always looking for ideas, concepts and alternative approaches. I never cease to work on developing an even better system--perhaps it is the search for the Holy Grail, which all of us know does not exist but which every serious futures trader invariably wants to find. At this time, I only position trade but would very much like to day trade, if I could do it successfully.

I hope that this thread can also focus on money management approaches and concepts because it is as important if not more so than having a system that works.

Anyone interested in getting a discussion going??
