Interestingly enuf, I got that KR flier today also and found your question witha search for KR. I took the KR "course" a number of years ago, bot several courses from him even, and even went to a big seminar he held nearby. A fascinating experience, attended by some folks who thot you couldn't lose $ and were ready for their fortunes to begin, vs. others who were more in touch with reality. Ken is a down-to-earth guy who is, I believe, honest, but is also a great salesman. He has more $ than he could spend in a lifetime so why does he try to make more with these come-ons? Altruism? Got me.
I did not paper trade as KR suggested when I did this years ago and traded his Alert Line, something he realized people were doing and later said it was a bad idea, it was only for "educational purposes." I don't know what he thot pple would do with that trading info! Now, he's online (he used to hate computers) with all of these charts and HIS specific trades. Are we supposed to trade those or just learn from them? Then, you need to spend $30./month to continue. Chump change for commodity folks, for sure, but still an expense. Also, his other program used futures, not options, with much higher amount of $ at risk. I lost $$. When I later traded options with a local broker and listened to him instead of myself, he lost my $.
I was just about to research how I might get back into trading futures and options (after losing $$ with that nearby broker years ago); will reread the current KR stuff. Just remember..there are no guarantees. At that seminar I ran into an old couple who had just bot a new Mercedes with a soybean trade profits. My guess is there were folks in his program who may have lost a few Toyota's worth of $$ doing the same trade.
If you trade options you will need to open an account with a commodity broker, not a stockbroker. They may want $$$ ..5 to 20k. Coincidentally, Ken used to run his own trading firm and let you start with less $. I'm sure the program materials will mention that.
You can certainly make $ in commodities trading; you can also lose everything, more than everything if you trade futures not options.
I will be interested in if you go with KR; let me know. You can PM me here at SI.
Good luck.
