I believe I've answered my own question. "The Java Solutions Guide" at page 236 describes Corel Office for Java thusly: "Corel Office for Java is the first suite of office productivity tools written entirely in Java. Word processing, spreadsheet, charting, PIM and presentation applications are integrated within a user friendly, Windows-like GUI. ..." I think many of the JavaStation's detractors misunderstand the nature of the beast.
