Hi Bud, What's particularly nice about the way AIM does it's work is that even when we get nice returns, most are safely tucked away in the Cash Reserve until the next time they're needed. Nice to make it; nicer to keep it!!!

Unstated is that my account as of last Friday (a week ago) was down about 8% from its all time peak set at the end of August. So, as usual, September wasn't a glamour month! I'm going to be interested in the month final #s when I get my statements.

As you can imagine, I'm tickled to be able to report this year's 12 month summary to my fellow alumni at next week's meeting. It took me almost three years to convince these guys to let me manage the money, while they had it in a Passbook Savings Account earning 2.9% or some such! Last year's report was for the first 9 months of AIM management, this one is for the 12 months since. Here's the summary page I keep up for them.

As you will see, I had them split the $$$ between a bond fund (GSF) and UOPIX. The ratio has shifted since the beginning through the UOPIX growth.

Considering how short a time interval you've been working with AIM, I'd say you've done just fine! Bull market, trader's market or bear, AIM with a little bit of effort and lots of intestinal fortitude seems to do just fine.

Best regards, Tom
