Investor vs Citizen Roles...
******************************************
I've had it with greedy, apologist class here that has taken root in the USA. Everyone out for themselves, don't give a damn about anyone else. A twisted Amerika - apprarently reaping what is sows - if you see the news today.

Like I said, they need to see about 100,000 IT workers organize and walk out - then you will see business stop in the US. Maybe an IT walkout day to protest this?

Without computers - nothing works. Not the market, not factories, not trading either. Something to contemplate...

Matt:

All you say is morally right but the market works on perceptions... To make money in the market you have to invest in those things that you perceive the market will like... More times than not when a company announces a reorganization that cuts jobs the stock price goes up... On the one hand it's sad for those employees who lose their jobs... On the other hand it's good for those trading the stock... As investors/traders, it's our job to use this information to benefit our portfolios... As citizens, it's our job to vote for those people whose policies are in line with our interests... It's possible that these two choices may be 180 degrees apart... It's important not to let one choice interfere with the other...
