Hi Kirk and rarebird.

I've been at TDA for a while, and they transferred my account from another broker.

They have my tax 1099's going back to the previous broker.

I've never been in MLP's . My pipeline companies have always been C corps.

If you traced back to your broker statements and checked the monthly statements for positions held during those time periods it would build a list of MLP's owned each year.

I'd be surprised if every MLP in your account for whatever length of time, would not be obliged to reissue the K1 for that year.

Apparently the IRS has those records as well.

Worst part about those K1's is they are passive income and represent a higher tax rate than qualified dividends.
I've had return of capital over the years on some C Corps and the records have been on the money, not sure about MLP's. Hope that helps Rarebird.

Bob
