Shrooms are an interesting business.

I sturgeon spear with a family that has a farm on Lake Winnebago - land is worth millions, yet owners are just generous wonderful people.

Their neighbor, newer to the area, are owners of a mushroom farm. They grow mushrooms all year long and have a delivery route with about a 50 mile radius. I originally bought ten pounds and used an old sturgeon spearing buddies recipe. Now I buy 20 pounds and have friends /neighbors who rant and rage about them.
It is a quick morning to make them and I think I'll do 30 pounds next February.

I love making the recipes I get good feedback on. Thanks for your input.

I had a neat weekend this weekend. I bought an old but very original 1957 Corvette. It was owned by a distant acquaintance. As a freshman in high school the seller was a Senior. I graduated with his younger sister. In 1982 he bought the car and owned it till this last Friday. In 2021 he died. During his Funeral it was parked outside of the funeral home.

His wife asked a good friend of mine who has a business of appraising classic cars to handle the sale of the car.

I was lucky enough to be the first phone call about buying it.

I have a 1957 fuelie Corvette, I bought 30 years ago. It came in boxes - they still are in boxes, but I had purchased and built the engine and transmission. The engine is a rare 283 hp 283 with Rochester Ramjet fuel injection. 1957 was the first year of Chevrolet fuel injection - they made about 1100 of them. Later in the production year, they came out with another first, the Borg Warner T-10 manual four speed. I had looked for a 1957 4 speed for 10 years. Last year I had one come in the market and bought it. One of 660 four speeds for 1957.

So now I have a nice original car to drive as I work on the project car. Its really inspirational to be able to take a drive in one.

Pretty much have the garden beds planted, so I get a window to play on cars before picking weeds and fertilizing have needs.

Today Jan and I worked hard and are recovering with some Sauvignon Blanc and ALEVE. LOL

Taste of Wisconsin will be enroute soon. Have to wait for the Jalapeno jelly till Octoberish.

I'm hoping for a bumper crop of Jalapenos and Serrano peppers . That's what makes the Jelly happen.

Here's to a reversal in the market soon!

Bob
