Hi Tom

This is BL from NC - having finally found my way and confidence to post here on the SI board. Let me publicly express and extend my sincere thanks for your gracious assistance and guidance.

As I have explained to Tom, mine is a case of opportunity and luck way ahead of experience and knowledge.

Since the end of Dec'00, I have been avidly following this board, the SI UOPIX board, the AIM-Users web site. I have read Mr. Lichello's book, and I have, for the past week, been diligently trying to understand and use the Newport system which I now have on my computer.

Back to the "opportunity and luck ahead of experience and knowledge" part: -on Jan 9'01, I began a ProFund acct with 10K UOPIX and 5K Cash. I have had the good fortune to ride the most recent NDX wave since that time - 2X even!!! By yesterday 3PM, having a nice profit, being impatient and being inexperienced with Newport/AIM, I did transfer 2K from UOPIX to Cash. So, currently: 11K UOPIX and 7K Cash.

After market close, considering where the NDX lies in the "short-term" channel, I began having concerns about leaving the 11K in the 2X UOPIX.

I realize this is "short-term" rationalizing, and I am trying to use AIM for a long-term trading plan.

Tom, you cannot imagine my excitement this AM as I read your SI post #14427 in which you address just the conundrum in which I find my inexperienced self!!

Present commitments do not permit me to complete this post, but, I am keenly interested in AIM, I appreciate all the knowledgeable and experienced members of this community (I have read and continue to study previous post), and I look forward to ongoing interchange, insight, and dialog.

Again, Thanks Tom.

Best Wishes to All
Bob
