Hi Larry, I spent a good portion of my working life in combustion engineering. I even designed a high efficiency gas fired pool and spa heater that ran essentially at 99% efficiency. The price of nat. gas has been so low (in relative terms) for so long that this price hike has to be hurting plenty of people; consumers and businesses. Our home heating bill for Dec. (the first month of the new rates) was essentially double the worst bill we've ever had. It wasn't a double on the therms, just the price/therm. It's a good "heads up" for those with investments in companies on both sides of the Nat Gas pipeline. If it's bad enough news, it will receive some national attention, I'm sure. Best regards, Tom
