HI Bernie, Keith, & Velobob,
Bernie & Velobob, As Bernie knows, I am a newbie to AIM and have asked many basic questions which many on this Board have been kind enough to answer. Bernie is absolutely correct that Mr. L's book has most of the answers. But I agree with Velobob that some of those answers are a bit elusive. I think I rather quickly understood the basics of AIM, but there are many questions that have come up that I didn't know the answer or where in the Book the answer appeared. One thing I appreciate Bernie, is your giving page references so I can go back and read it again. Bernie, the one thing I disagree with you on is that the help files in Newport, Automatic Investor, or PCA 4 Windows are adequate. While some of the answers are in fact in the help files they can be difficult to locate and I find the explanations incomplete. I have tried all three programs and have had some difficulty with each of them which required either researching their bulletin boards or contacting someone for help. In my opinion, these programs could all use better technical writing.
Keith, please add my wife and I to your list. Since Larry G can't make it, I guess it falls upon me to represent our name. :) I am looking forward to putting faces with names and getting to know all of you better.
