Jane,
As you may have noticed in an earlier post of mine I did own some shares, but I try to avoid losses so I closed out my position on a trailing mental stop. That was at 1.20 or so. I did not like the selling on "good" news either or I may have stayed in a little longer.
The deck is statistically stacked against us as individual investors. The people who make the money in this game are the insiders, the brokers, the promoters and the investment houses. I speak in generalities mind you.
In accordance with this belief I am every bit as cynical as TL. When I talk to any companies representatives I assume that they are, if not lying outright, then painting a rosy picture about the prospects of the company.
Nevertheless I did put some money into the company, but it was not until a fair bit of investigation went into it. Someone that I know and trust has been by the offices in Canada and there is activity there. Other avenues of investigation were pursued as well and as cynical and disbelieving as I am I did buy some stock and may buy in again. The subsequent transparent attempts to "promote" the stock were unfortunate and served only to reinforce my convictions that it is very difficult to really "know" what is going on with a company. I may add that my cynicism is tempered by a well developed sense of humour.
In that regard it is nice to see people genuinely warming to TL. Who knows if he can pick up some shares under .75 he may astonish everyone by buying some and donning the white hat.
