perhaps he didn't explain himself as well as he should have for your benefit, being challenged and all....could it possibly be that he was thinking that we (Americans) might enjoy a higher standard of living along with higher wages in comparison to the Belizians...and that because of this seemingly disparity in financial means, the American/Belizian citizens might be able to take advantage of this opportunity more readily than those earning wages on Belizian soil (for the average wage earner of course). And that by American currency, the lot translates to $10,000 dollars...which seems reasonable by American standards....
