after hosting a thread on SI for 3 years (Stock Watcher's Thread), i can tell you that the number of posts usually increases as the market climbs (obviously for bullish threads only)...things are starting to pick up now on our thread and many members are returning after hibernating for the last 6 months...the worst time was May - Sept.; the boards were really quiet/dead then... SI runs a fairly good operation imo...i don't think you'll find it's any better on Yahoo or RB...at least the intelligence level over here seems to be a cut above the rest (as frightening as that may sound...lol) - jmho....sw
