What's with this attorney client privilege

It doesn't mean squat if a crime has been committed. I just recently learned this myself. I too though it was like a priest, confessional confidence but apparently not. In the recent MN tobacco trial, the judge ruled that several boxes of confidential attorney client communications not only be turned over to the prosecution but also published on the web. This was one of the reasons the tobacco companies settled.
