Settle down pilgrim. Where did I call you a liar? I asked for a link and you did not provide one. Now you found one that STILL doesn't say we are CURRENTLY at record production. It is a PREDICTION and we know how accurate "predictions" have been, especially for "transitory inflation."

In the meantime, I found SEVERAL official numbers saying production was CLOSE to record highs but was falling short of demand, hence the higher prices.

YOU are the one who made fun of others for not understanding basic supply/demand economics while ignoring demand and harping on we'll eventually get to record levels of domestic production.

NOBODY I know says we won't reach record production this year or next, but they DO SAY production is not keeping up with demand... hence higher prices!

I'm paying over $5 a gallon for premium and I bet we'll see $6 a gallon here soon. That is 100% attributable to higher taxes and higher demand exceeding supply. Again, simple economics I'm surprised you still argue.
