If you have carrots, olive oil, dried cranberries, pine nuts and fresh basil leaves all in the house without having to go pick some of them up, you sure have a well-supplied kitchen.

Carrots just glazed in the simple old fashioned way with butter and brown sugar are better than a sharp stick in the eye, too.
