Magic Entertainment, Inc. Announces Tomorrow Films to Provide Funding for Filming of Escape to Grizzly Mountain
- Tomorrow Films to Distribute Film Domestically and Internationally -
NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998-- Magic Entertainment, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of 1st Miracle Group, Inc. (OTC BB: MVEE), today announced that Tomorrow Films will provide funding for the filming of ''Escape To Grizzly Mountain,'' starring Dan Haggerty. Additionally, Tomorrow Films will be the exclusive worldwide distributor for the film.
''Escape To Grizzly Mountain'' is the sequel to 1998's highly successful ''Grizzly Mountain'' which has recently been shown on the Showtime Cable Network as well as on Pay Per View. Additionally, ''Grizzly Mountain'' has sold over 235,000 videocassettes and was one of the top video rentals of this past summer.
''Escape To Grizzly Mountain'' is the story of a young boy named Jimmy who, on a visit to the circus, befriends an animal trainer named Charlie Yellowhorse. The boy also witnesses the abuse of a young bear cub by the circus owners. Jimmy affectionately names the bear cub ''Dudley.'' Charlie tells Jimmy of a sacred cave on Grizzly Mountain where the ''pure of heart'' can pass through a time portal to the year 1870. Jimmy devises a plan to rescue Dudley from the circus and help him escape to Grizzly Mountain and pass through the time portal. However, Dudley is the star attraction at the circus and the owners will do anything they can to prevent Jimmy's plan from succeeding. Dan Haggerty stars as a mountain man from the 1870's brought back by Jimmy to help rescue Dudley.
The film is being produced by George Furla, Randall Emmett and Herb Lindsey. The film's script was written by Boon Collins based on a story by George Furla.
Magic Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 1st Miracle Group, Inc., was co-founded by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus to produce and distribute feature length motion pictures.
