WTF?

Is she brain dead?

Or is it election talk nonsense like DJT saying he had a less expensive, better alternative to Obamacare and he did jack chit and we still have the program that greatly discourages older people to get out of poverty wages by working harder or more.

44.6% on LT capital gains for the 0.1% who have $100M? No indexing for inflation?

Why would anyone make long term investments in CA or NY where you give over half the gains to the government, and you lose additional value to inflation??? We're at 13.3% now in CA and I believe the 80% of democrats are talking about raising it to 16.x% to pay for all the programs our open borders, sanctuary city and generous benefits cost.

They should elect to do what I did and settle for making far less than potential to enjoy life (windsurf, write, garden, etc. help others for a nominal fee - one younger, female friend is considering going into teaching with her Stanford PhD for more vacations and less stress) rather than give over half the income to the government.

IF you want to confiscate billionaire wealth, there are far better ways to do it. Let them make as much as they want then take 90% when they die. 10% of $1B is plenty for heirs to fight over and never work again. Also, eliminate ALL deductions they now use to transfer it to charities their kids can run for super high salaries... if they fund a charity, great, pat them on the back but collect your 90% tax on the transfer.
