Bill - You know a heckuva lot more than I do about this industry, but wasn't Intel's growth propelled by making their previous products obsolete? I seem to recall a statement by Andrew Grove something along the lines of "we want to eat our children as soon after they're born as possible". Someone is always going to be the technology leader - I think I'd prefer it to be the company that I've invested in.
