Hmt Technology (Nasdaq HMTT) makes thin film disks for high-end high-capacity hard disk drives, used in personal computers, network servers and workstations. Disks currently being shipped are for drives using 3 to 12 disks to provide storage capacities ranging from 1.6 to 9 gigabytes, all with coercivity levels (measurement of disk's magnetic strength) of 1900 Oersted. HMT sold disks to Maxtor, Quantum, Hewlett-Packard and....IOMEGA! FY 96 rose to profit on almost TRIPLED sales. There is already a lot of talking going on at the Motley Fool Investor at America Online and I wouldn't be surprised if this stock is at $30 in no time. Any comments?
