They don't need to use their own NG to benefit from the hedge that NG production gives them. Nor do they need to refine their own crude to capture the difference between heavy and light crude by owning a heavy crude refinery.

Hasn't the value of Petroliferas increased substantially since they bought it? And don't you believe them when they say that they already recovered the purchase price of the refinery via refinery cash flows in the last two years?
