Hi BigBull; Re: "I dunno; maybe they'll all get together with Carl Bilow, cook S'mores and sing Kumbaya."

Military exercises predate the WTC attack by about what, 100 years. These have been going on forever and they never attracted any attention before now. What with mom and pop all steamed up over the WTC attack, now they're paying attention to them.

It's an insult to the integrity of the United States to suggest that we would start a war under the cover of "exercises". That's the kind of thing that Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union would do.

Sneak attacks are the kind of thing that weak nations do. We are not a weak nation. Militarily, we are the strongest nation that has ever been on the planet. We do not have to make sneak attacks. If we did, we would have used one against Afghanistan a year ago.

Think about it. Did the US announce that they would be running "exercises" in the Persian Gulf, but then all of a sudden attack Afghanistan? Of course not. We sent an ultimatum, with a specific date and a specific demand for compliance (hand over bin Laden) to Afghanistan. When our demand was not met, the war began. But we have never (to the best of my extensive knowledge) started any war, no matter how trivial, under the guise of "exercises".

"Sucker punches" are just not the American way. Nor would it be good for our relations with the rest of the world.
