Suzanne: What to do? The perennial existential question in the face of ambiguity. Our very own Rorschach test. Insofar as I have no direct knowledge about the extent of inside activities, or how to factor it in to known news, I am basing my actions on the potential for the company to do well. I will not be happy if the price gets lower. However, I think I am locked in.

On balance volume is a "technical indicator." On days the stock goes up in price, the day's volume is cumulatively added. On days the price goes down, volume is subtracted from the accumulated total. The figure is displayed on the chart in a continuous line. The theory is that up days indicate buying pressure, and down days indicate selling pressure. If the on-balance volume line is going up, that is believed to indicate accumulation. Sometimes the on-balance volume line goes up even while the price stays level or retreats. That is what is going on now. Charting programs available on the Internet automatically display the on-balance indicator, and many others.
