"Kurdish succession" malaprop alert (g) secession

As far as turkey and kurdistan go, i think the most important thing the US may be able to do in that region is to mediate that dispute leading to a peace between iraqi kurds and turkey and some type of self rule that satisfies the needs of the kurds who live in turkey. There is no reason that turks and kurds mustremain in conflict. This may be an opportunity for US led diplomacy to have a positive effect in the area. If we cant control the arabs, we should try to influence the non-arab populations.
