I hope for the environment's sake that Ga As never replaces Si in any
volume. It is hideously toxic and its extraction and refinement is
tremendously energy intensive. Diamond on something would be much more attractive, but nobody is even close yet. Si will rule, but reaching the "atomic" limits may come sooner than many think. Moore's Law may run out of steam in the next 5 years.
