MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 1999--Omega Research, Inc. (Nasdaq:OMGA) announced today the official launch of its next generation of premium products, TradeStation(R) 2000i, OptionStation(R) 2000i, Omega Research ProSuite(tm)--Standard Edition (an integrated suite that includes TradeStation 2000i and OptionStation 2000i) and Omega Research ProSuite(tm) 2000i--Platinum Edition (an integrated suite that includes TradeStation 2000i, OptionStation 2000i and the Company's brand-new real-time scanning product, RadarScreen(tm) 2000i). The Company expects to begin marketing RadarScreen 2000i as a separate product, in addition to marketing it as part of Omega Research ProSuite 2000i--Platinum Edition, in the 1999 second quarter. The Company is offering Omega Research ProSuite--Standard Edition only to existing TradeStation, OptionStation and ProSuite customers.

The first orders from both existing customers seeking upgrades and new customers are expected to be taken today by the Company's sales force and through the electronic commerce pages of the Company's website. Due primarily to anticipated strong demand for upgrades, the Company expects a significant number of product back-orders starting today. The Company expects to begin shipping later this week.

Bill Cruz, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO, Omega Research, commented, "This release is a major milestone for Omega Research that has taken 2 1/2 years to achieve. I believe that our customers will deeply appreciate the substantial time and effort we have devoted to these products. We believe that the releases incorporate important technological advancements, significant new functionality, and embrace the Internet."
