DESC: VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia contemplates negotiation
of a sole source procurement with Lanier Worldwide, 2743 Perimeter
Parkway, Augusta, Georgia for complete maintenance of a Lanier
Voice Writer 64NT dictation system and another dictation system
located in Radiology which is comprised of various components
for the period January 1, 2000 through September 30, 2000.
Maintenance shall include routine, after hours, software and
monitoring. Negotiations to begin on or about 12/21/99. Applicable
SIC code is 7378. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for
competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within
15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered
by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest
and capability by submitting proposals and literature, detailing
how their service meets the VA requirements, to the Contracting
Officer or by fax to &706) 731-7172. A determination by the
Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses
to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
