''Speedway Junky'' has been selected to participate in this year's Panorama Section, which presents a wide range of films in three divisions: ''art&essai'' (featuring well-known directors as well as newcomers), ''Dokumente'' (featuring a concentrated selection of the most interesting new documentaries), and ''PANORAMA Special'' (the showcase for rather high budget international independent productions as well as US major studio productions).
Peter Benz, Chairman of the 1st Miracle Group, commented, ''We are delighted to be included among the select number of productions featured in this year's Berlin International Film Festival, especially given its reputation as one of the world's premier film festivals and the extraordinary list of past participants. Next month's event provides us an excellent opportunity to introduce ''Speedway Junky'' to one of the year's largest gatherings of industry professionals and media, which should prove to be instrumental as we look to broaden the film's international distribution in the future.''
''Speedway Junky'' is a film for today's youth, full of charm and erotic drama. A forbidden love story which we all dreamed of against the backdrop of the decadence and despair, wealth and success of Las Vegas. The film culminates in an exciting awe inspiring ''opportunity.'' The film was executive produced by Gus Van Sant, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus co-executive producers. The Nickolas Perry film was produced by Rodney Omanoff, Randall Emmett, George Furla and Jeff Rice.
