ANDREW (James), if you find IF shares to short can you let us know where? I have not succeeded in shorting IF at Q and R or Waterhouse. Obviously the short involves risk of a rupiah rally, for example if the IMF were to cave in and accept a currency board system. Hedging with longs in certain Indonesian ADRs may be indicated, but I haven't got to that point (some of them in IF's portfolio seem to trade close to the quotes in KL, others at a premium, based on a spot check). As for other shorts, why isn't JEQ a good one, at least as a hedge to Japanese exposure in open-end funds or a discounted CEF? I am also short MFV. Good luck. -- Shoe

P.S. Why LDF at such a small discount, and not LAM, for example?
