If you believe, as some believe, that Bush had Wellstone whacked, then it made sense to "wave the bloody shirt Oh please tell me nobody but a few whackos believes this. There's no evidence and no motive; they don't even try to make one up. Just the willingness to believe the worst about 'the enemy'.
