Thanks Ben...glad someone shares interest in actually doin' homework on stock analysis. The two programs I mentioned, Morningstar 'Stocktools' and the IA 'Power Investor' have(I think?) some technical tools in them...but primarily have features for screening stocks on fundamentals. I currently use Morningstar's 'U.S. Equities' which allows me put in several screening criteria such as Price to Book, ROE, PE, earnings growth and so forth. I can then start doing more subjective screening.

Although my first comfort level is in this fundamental analysis...I can't forget the technical issues, which I must confess I know little about. So I'm trying to get a grip on both disciplines in one place...not there yet.

Stay in touch..Scott T.
