$5 is fine. The reason I suggested $10 is because that is seen as a respectable level to buy-in by institutions and mutual fund managers. Sure you may miss the runup of IOM from $3 to $10 but you still would have made a fortune if you got in at $10. Same for PairGain (oh baby, I missed that one), Ascend and all the other hot ones.

Personally I stay away from anything less than $10 except for rare occassion like with XOMA and GANDF. Then again $10 doesn't always mean it can't come crashing down into the $1 range, look at CAWS for example. Whew, glad I didn't buy into that one at $17!! Oh well, gotta stop my rambling and get some sleep.
