Yeah, it sure doesn't go as far as a million bucks used to!

There is a burger place nearby that I used to go to with 2 for 1 coupons just before COVID. I was amazed it was $20 for a burger and fries... now it is $30! Sandwich shops now charge $14 or $15 for a simple sandwich and then CA gets its tax on top of that then some put out TIP jars to shame some into paying even more for counter service.

I used to wonder how all these places stayed in business and who could afford them... but it seems we are closing restaurants even as we're adding more housing... so it isn't that big a mystery.
