And penny stocks are the favorite vehicles of scam artists. That's the problem. Without independent outside audits and public audit reports (yeah, I know how ironic that sounds right now), you have no idea what you're getting. You may just be lining the pockets of the promoters.

I find it surprising that as intelligent and advanced a country as Canada doesn't have better stock market regulation. It's clear that you wish to attract foreign money into your markets. One of the more important tools to do so is transparency. Give foreigners confidence that they know what they are buying.
