This one wasn't close to that big of net, maybe the 8'
one but gathering up and looping it and making sure that rope that snug it in didnt tangle wasnt that hard, did screw up at first.

i did catch a real big minnow 13-14" one time and Herb said that tarpon come in sometimes to their canal about 35-40' across,
so he got his big riggin out for sailfish and hooked it up with big-ott size hooks and a big bobber about 1 1/2' away(to keep the bait from diving), thats when they know the big fish are around, they dive, and we tied it to one of his palm trees that had a "V" from two trunks and it sat over nite.
Well herb said he was a light sleeper and it would be right outside his bedroom window to hear any comotion. I got up early and peeked out the kitchen window and you could see
the line clear across the canal, so I yell at Herb to get up
and me and him are in our underwear reeling in this thing and it gets taunt and splashing under the across the neighbors and down dock. So he gets on his pants, has me hold the pole and gets in his car to go around
the neighborhood and see if he cant yank it out.

If you been arounf there its a maze and what looks like a block is a half mile away and I see the fin and tail trashing and it wakes the neighborhood up and just as Herb gets those people up and to the dock the fish is gone, straightened the big hook out. at least Herb saw it.
So much for "light" sleeping. he had caught sailfish but no tarpon while I was around at least.

Do you go down to fish?
