Vietam war went of for 10 years and cost 54,000 american lives. Pardon me if i protested against going another round of 10 years and another 54,000 lives. LBJ knew war was lost but didnt want to be the first pres to lose a war. He reognized this when there were less than 30,000 casualtie so about 27,000 more americans died after our govt knew we lost.
