Last I heard of the Palm/Apple venture was an Apple VP saying it didn't exist. Since then the stock has fallen through the floor, so who knows? The Samsung thing is supposedly available, there are people who claim to have one, but I can't find it for sale anywhere. Not even at AMZN. ;-)

Linux seems to be following the opposite path from Windows. Rather than working from the desktop in, it's working from the core out. Everything I read says it's taking share away from NT, and that jibes with what I personally see. You're probably right, though, it's still going to be a while before my grandma is sending email from a linux-box. ;-)
