Have not heard any rumors, so I cannot comment.
In most current qtr, ending 3/31/97, UACA had 9 mos. earns per sh of $1.39 vs $1.19 a yr ago. Keep in mind fy96 earns were $1.71, so UACA needs .32 to match them.
To get historical prespective, UACA does not trace a steady earns path upward, rather it rises a yr, consolidates a yr, rises a yr, consolidates, etc. So a yr around $1.70 should not surprise anyone who has tracked at least 5 yrs of financial stmts.
This short term noise does not lessen the fact this is a profitable co., in an unpopular yet growing industry, with able and experienced mgmt. All in all, an excellent buy candidate for a long term, 3 yr of more, buyer.
If you hear something, do us a favor and supply the readers of this thread the specifics, i.e. the source, the basis of rumor, etc.
