as far as being an upscale community , you are right. There are plenty of gated communities in this area and all have 2 or 3 golf courses. Last year in hilton head the average price of a home was almost 400,000. Rose hill is a very nice place althought not the most expensive. Hilton head alone has 26 golf courses aand the island is only 12 long x 5 miles wide. Bluffton is known as the gateway to hilton head as highway 278 leads to the bridges that bring you to hilton head. Rose hill is about 10 minutes or so off island
