SO HOW BIG IS THIS BOOTH AGAIN?

Oh, Linda how you love to twist things around. The messages all over the boards (SI, Bull and Yahoo) are that PABN is in the big times now because they have a representative presenting/lecturing at a Microsoft event. Many of these same hyping longs love to throw in Bill Gates' name, as if he's going to be attending this training seminar. This is what I was interested in putting a stop to. This type of commentary by the touting longs is what is ridiculous.
Did I call Microsoft, no...but I have spent some time over at the site which describes the Microsoft Tech·Ed 99 in quite some detail.

What I gather is that there will be as many as 13,000 people attending and lecturing at the seminars (8 days long) and there will also be 300 booths on exhibit, set up by companies showing their wares.

This is a paid for event. Companies pay to send their representatives to this training seminar. This is not a free ticket with expenses of the convention hall picked up by Microsoft.
2. What is included in my booth price?
Your Exhibit Hall fee of $3,500 covers exhibit space and includes:
· One pipe-and-draped 10'W x 8'H x 10'D carpeted booth*
· One 6' display table
· Two stools
· One wastebasket
· One 1,000 watt/8.3 amp (120V) outlet
· One company identification sign*
· Up to three Microsoft
· Tech·Ed 99 show bags
· Up to three staff registrations per 10' x 10' booth. If you require additional staff, you may purchase two more passes per company at a cost of $250 each. Details will follow in your exhibitor packet once you are an approved exhibitor.
* Provided for island booths by special request only.

Will Mr. Black be setting up a booth? I do not know that as this information was not submitted in the letter John posted on the website (I doubt it though, given the percentages of attendees vs booth setups). Nor can I find what fees they charge for a "guest speaker" to present. So you see Linda, Mr. Black was not selected he is paying for the privilege to attend and speak. I have attended many of these types of events, both as a company representative and as an investor and you ALWAYS pay to attend.
I have never suggested that this was not a good business move. But the notion that he is there to lecture to "Microsoft" is absurd and exactly the type of misrepresentation that should be stopped by over zealous longs. This may gain some exposure for PABN, if that is the purpose for Mr. Black's appearance. However, this is unclear in John's letter, if PABN will be mentioned as a side item or the main focus of his presentation.
