Technology Stocks : Viasoft is an excellent stock, but what about the company?

I feel your pain. I sold 80% of my vias position at the open today
and watched it going up all day. Painful, but I want to take a wait
and see approach until the possible zitl or ibm solution(s) reveal
if at all in early Jan. Aside from general market recovery today,
there are three news related possibilities for the move that I
see. 1) An AP article discussing the issue and how no one
was responding (I haven't seen it myself but have been told it was
datelined from London) 2) A trade journal (I think it was Computer
World or Computer Week) had a section on solving the problem today,
after a quick skim it appeared only to outline the basic y2k stuff with
nothing new stated and sited the usual stats. 3) the Barron's article
yesterday that Janice cited although it didn't discuss the typical players
with much depth.

Regardless of any golden bullet, I think there will still be a lot of
code tweaking that needs to be done so I'm hanging steady on kea,
chrz, cpwr. As a hedge against the golden bullet possibility,
I also bought zitl today.

Best of luck and remember we can still get back in although I'm
taking a breather right now.
