Michael -- Wow, posters anonymous around here! The president should be held to a "community standard", with the community defined as the population of the US. He was elected, and is not a member of the military - in effect, the Commander-in-Chief is the proof that the military is under the control of, and answerable to, the people. At the same time the president answers to the judicial and the legislative branches of government; those are his checks and balances. As such, barring misprision of felony, it is unlikely that either of these branches will be able to get rid of him.
