I've been full time working on RKE/ID market analysis (looks huge)
Thats why I'm not getting far with this Battery Management work. The interesting thing is that it's all the same players in both markets. both chips are being done as small 4 bit and 8 bit micros with a little EPROM, EEPROM, Flash or Fuses for NVM and some crude 8 to 12 bit A2D's. Intel, Microchip, Atmel, TI, Moto, BMRQ, DS, SGS will all be in the market.

Looking at the die area I think that Battery Management IC's will be down around 25 to 30c by the end of 97. This estimate is based on IC area so it could be anywhere from 20c to 50c depending on how hot the competition gets.

Still I think that BMRQ can do well in this market so I'm still very positive about the future of BMRQ.
