Actually, that was Police Chief Bratton's theory. Rudy elbowed him out of the way to take the credit.


Bratton is not having that problem in LA. He has a compliant Mayor. And the West Side Liberals are Lionizing him. After a recent shooting, when the South Central Activists started parading with slogans of "Curb your Cops," He shot back, "Curb your Kids!" This is exactly what the Brick Cops needed to hear. The last two Chiefs would not stick up for them.
