Let me be simplistic....

An example of a real crisis is any that occur in Palestine. The two sides have no noticeable joint interest. The conflict is primary. The Arabs want the land because they lived there for 2000 years. The Zionists want the same land because their bible says God gave it to them, including the right to genocide. It's all in Deuteronomy. This is no fake crisis. They'll fight until one side is all dead.

Malcolm,

No argument as to your being simplistic, particularly when it comes to your views about the Middle East. It made me recall this post of yours from last fall:

Message 14633060

My personal belief is that the 1947 UN decision to take away some Arab land and hand it to a new state, Israel, was plain stupidity. The basis for "ownership" of this land by the people of Israel is the old testament, a scarcely believable document. The echoes of this stupid decision will be
with us forever.

I would personally appreciate it if you would use other examples to make your points rather than exposing your at best simplistic and ignorant views and at worst anti-Semitic views of the Middle East Situation.
