I bought a big pack of fresh chestnuts at Costco, thinking I would make something, but inspiration has not hit me yet.

Reason being, I've read a lot of recipes using chestnuts but never actually eaten anything with chestnuts in them.

So, any ideas for something with chestnuts? Should I put them in the stuffing? Should I roast them with the root vegetables (carrots, onions, parsnips and shallots).
